Acupuncture & Treatment
Does acupuncture hurt?
Most patients feel little to no discomfort. The needles are very thin, about the width of a human hair, and are gently inserted to stimulate specific points. Some people feel warmth, tingling, or a deep sense of relaxation during treatment.
How many sessions will I need?
Every patient responds differently. Some feel improvement after one session, while chronic or long-standing issues may require a longer treatment plan. Each session is customized to your individual needs and progress.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Loose, comfortable clothing works best. Sleeves and pant legs that can be rolled up to the elbows and knees make it easier to access key acupuncture points.
Can acupuncture help with stress or sleep issues?
Yes. Acupuncture helps regulate the nervous system and supports healthy cortisol and serotonin levels, which can reduce stress, calm the mind, and improve sleep quality.
Cosmetic Acupuncture
What does cosmetic acupuncture treat?
Cosmetic acupuncture naturally improves skin tone, elasticity, and circulation. It can help reduce fine lines, lift sagging areas, brighten dull skin, and ease jaw tension or puffiness.
How many sessions will I need to see results?
The number of treatments varies for each patient depending on skin health, age, and overall wellness. Some notice improvement after a few sessions, while others benefit from continued care to maintain results over time.
Does it hurt or cause bruising?
The facial needles are extremely fine and cause minimal sensation. Bruising is uncommon, but Arnica gel and gentle techniques are used to reduce the possibility of it occurring.
Can cupping or gua sha be included?
Yes. Cupping, gua sha, and red light therapy may be included depending on your treatment tier or added as part of your personalized cosmetic acupuncture session.
Injections, Cupping, and Add-Ons
What are homeopathic injections?
Homeopathic injections use natural, diluted formulas such as Zeel, Traumeel, or Methylated B12 to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and support tissue healing. They can be performed alone or alongside acupuncture.
Can cupping be part of my acupuncture session?
Yes. Fire cupping may be included at no additional charge when it supports your treatment goals. Cupping helps release tension, improve circulation, and promote detoxification.
What is vibration therapy?
Vibration therapy uses gentle, whole-body oscillation to improve circulation, lymphatic flow, and nervous system balance. It is a relaxing add-on that complements acupuncture or cosmetic treatments.
What is auriculotherapy (ear seeds)?
Auriculotherapy stimulates specific points on the ear that correspond to areas of the body. Tiny ear seeds or magnets are placed to reduce stress, support balance, and extend the benefits of your treatment between visits.
Appointments & Policies
How long are sessions?
Most acupuncture sessions are approximately 60 minutes. Initial acupuncture consultations are typically 90 minutes to allow time for a full health intake and treatment. Cosmetic acupuncture sessions are longer and generally last around 120 minutes, depending on the treatment plan.
Do I need an initial consultation before booking acupuncture?
Yes. All new patients are required to book an Initial Consultation before scheduling acupuncture treatments. This visit allows time to review your health history, discuss current symptoms, and develop an individualized treatment approach based on your specific needs. Once your initial consultation has been completed, follow-up acupuncture sessions can be booked as recommended.
What is your cancellation policy?
A 24-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule appointments. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a $25 fee.
Do you accept insurance?
Sacred Energy Acupuncture does not bill insurance directly. However, superbills with ICD-10 and CPT codes can be provided for reimbursement from your insurance provider.
